DPP announces Tominson prosecution decision coming 'in a few months'
The Director of Public Prosecutions, Keir Starmer, has given an indication of the progress of the Crown Prosecution Service in reaching a decision about action to take in Ian Tomlinson's case.
"We've got the files and we're looking at them," he said. "Those questions are really hard, because I always feel as if we're stalling. I would hope [to have a decision] within a few months. My view on these things is we should move quickly. We've got it, we're looking at it, we want to go as quickly as we can, but it's not imminent."
